Frozen moments

Moments in time that seem to freeze
a glance from a window, a warm summer breeze
a drunken confession, a moment of joy
a childhood memory of a long lost toy
your first stolen kiss, your first broken heart
the moment you realised you had to part
the winters, the snow, the warm fire that glowed
those teenage years when you looked like a toad
the times you thought you looked so cool
the times you were kind, the times you were cruel
the day you brought home your first working wage
the fun, the happiness, the anger, the rage
the times in your life you received bad news
the day she said yes, and one became two
seen differently through everyones eyes
all frozen moments in everyones lives.©

At least for a while

I took a walk on the beach today
didn't want to be touched by the outside world
a feeling of peace, alone, calm and clear
at least for a while.....
The wind blows through me, and soothes my soul
set apart from the hurried pace
time alone, time to think
at least for a while.....
The cool grass of the cliff top meadow
brush against legs, under endless blue
the distant church spire a reminder of civilization
and it feels good to be alive
at least for a while.....©

I'm always here

Life can seem an uphill struggle
more bad days than good, more sorrow than joy
and sometimes we look for a meaning
why am I here? who needs me? we have all felt like that
but in those lonely hours in the confines of our minds
we fail to notice the love that surrounds
a love we need to carry on being
a light we need to carry on growing.

Well your not alone in anything you do
I will always be here for you
a friend who's dear, a friend for life
a life you'll always be a part of
and although we have such different lives
we'll always travel together
